Do I have to be religious to join?
You need to believe in a higher power — however you define that. The Elks aren’t tied to any particular religion or denomination.
I thought the Elks was a men’s club.
Not since 1995. Women have been full members here for decades, including some of our current lodge leadership.
Can I bring guests to the bar?
Yes — members can bring guests. Usually this results in your guests wanting to become members too!
What does membership cost?
Dues vary year to year — the fastest way to get a current number is to visit or ask a member. See How to Become a Member for the application process.
Do I need to know a member to join?
You’ll need a sponsorship from a current member of any Elks lodge, but if you don’t know anyone yet, send an email to info@denverelks.org and we will set up a time for you to come check us out.
Is the Lodge open to the public?
The bar is members and guests only. We host several open-to-the-public events throughout the year. Check out our Events Calendar to see when those are.
